Professor Mallavarapu has worked on a broad range of topics in the field of international relations. His research includes extensive work on globalization and global governance issues as well as the current challenges faced by countries of the Global South. In this vein, he has explored the idea of global citizenship and worked on the intellectual history of the Global South. In 2013, he was a Senior Fellow at Käthe Hamburger Kolleg/ Centre for Global Cooperation Research, where he worked in the Research Unit 1 “The (Im)Possibility of Cooperation”. There he applied insights from cognitive science to questions of institutional structure. Siddharth Mallavarapu holds a PhD in politics from Jawaharlal Nehru University New Delhi, where he taught as an Assistant Professor over a period of eight years.
